This is a good freebie that has all the basic functions that you expect a screen capture software to perform (except by the lack of sound recording, available only for the Pro version). This software can save avi video files only.
AutoScreenRecorder Free 3.0 shows 3 Tabs:
1.- FROM.- As its name suggests, it relates to the source or origin from which the capture is performed (full screen, active window, object / window, quadrangular specific area). Also, in this tab you find the capture controls (Start, pause / resume, stop and cancel) and the access to the capture settings for the movement of the mouse (as highlight with different colored circles the left button and right button clicks).
2.- TO.- This tab contains the Recording Options, where you can select which of the installed codecs on your computer will be used, along with the button to access the selected codec. Here you'll also find the video file options, where clicking the AVI File Options button opens a dialog box with the Message: Options After Recording, in addition to the output file name and folder.
3-. ADVANCED.- Without a doubt, this tab was designed for the retail version of this software, called "PRO", since in the free version it only shows a couple of options with little or no use: Show screentip help and Use bold text for the selected item.
It works smoothly and uses a reasonable amount of resources. The quality of the resulting video is moderately good, as well as the file size (for example, 4.11 MB in a 2:46 minutes avi file) |
